5 Success Markers for Your Business Besides Revenue

A Christian women's podcast about business and how to see success markers beyond just revenue for Christian women in business.

How do you keep going when business feels stagnant? How do you stay motivated when you’re not hitting your financial goals, and sales are slow? We need to measure our success outside of revenue. That’s where the concept of the Kingdom Dashboard comes in—a way to gauge our success beyond just dollars, followers, and subscribers. While those metrics are important, they are just one part of the bigger picture. On today’s Christian podcasts for women, we’re diving into 5 success markers for your business besides revenue.

Living Out Your Values

First, let’s explore living out your values. Ask yourself if you are embodying values like abundant generosity, acting courageously, inviting vulnerability, living intentionally, and speaking truthfully. When I am aligned with these values daily, weekly, and monthly, I know I am on the right track, and it feels incredibly rewarding.

What is Your Body Telling You?

Next, consider what your body is telling you. Pay attention to your mental health, stress levels, and overall well-being. During COVID in 2020, God asked me to step away from my 20-year career in education. I resisted, and my body screamed for attention. My stress skyrocketed, leading to countless doctor visits and medical tests. The solution was simple—obeying God. What is your body saying to you?

What are Your Clients Saying?

Also, listen to what your clients are saying. When clients express their gratitude or relief during coaching calls or through messages, I know I’m moving in the right direction. Their feedback is a strong indicator of success.

Listen to Feedback from Loved Ones

Don’t forget to consider feedback from your family and friends. My husband often comments on my “orchid laugh,” a special laugh I have when I’m truly happy. It’s a clear sign I’m doing well. Kids and close friends can sense your well-being, so ask them how they think you’re doing.

What Does God Say About Your Business Success?

Finally, ask God what He says about your business. Sit in silence and seek His perspective. I work with a spiritual director to help me understand this. Remember, if the voice you hear brings condemnation and shame, it’s not from God.
